No, provided that you’re a publisher just wanting to make money by posting adsense ads on your side. As of this writing, google adsense is a stand alone google service, with no affiliation to adwords. Hope this helps.

No You dont have to pay for Google Adwords! but if you want to get traffic to make money from your googl adsense you can use adwords.
My advice is for you to visit Freewebsitetraffic.tv
They will show you how to get your site front page of the search engines in 24 hours for free.
therefore you wont have to spend any money..and make a good profit from your site using adsense.

Adsense means they put ads on your site and if people click then they pay YOU a small sum.Adwords means that you invent an advertisement of just 3 lines and it appears on the right hand side of the page (according to a keyword list you’ve provided)
Then when people click on the ad they go to your landing page (you’ve specified) and you pay Google for that traffic.
